Insurance claims (New Zealand)

Early access for New Zealand general insurance claims teams who handle policy schedules, claim forms, estimates and adjuster reports; join the waitlist.

Where the time goes

  • Claim files mix forms, estimates, reports and correspondence
  • Staff re-key the same details into claim systems
  • Surges after a storm, flood or earthquake strain intake
  • Some documents carry te reo Māori names and place names

What is in the early-access pack

The general insurance claims pack is available to early-access customers. Document types cover policy schedules and certificates, claim forms and statements of loss, repair and rebuild estimates with supplements and final invoices, loss adjuster reports, motor total-loss valuations, police and fire reports, and decision, decline and complaint letters including ombudsman referral material.

Natural hazard claim documents, such as scopes of works, engineer reports and cash settlement records handled by the insurer for the Natural Hazards Commission, are one document family in the pack. Droqify reads these documents like any other; it does not make or check cover decisions.

Starter schemas extract fields such as policy number, insured, claim number, date of loss, loss type, region, property address, vehicle identification number, sum insured, excess, claimed amount, estimate totals including GST, and the adjuster’s quantum and reserve as printed. Cross-document indexes cover claim number, policy number, insured, Natural Hazards Commission claim reference, vehicle, police or fire reference, region, loss type, date of loss and document language. A document language field accepts English or te reo Māori, and smart folders group files by earthquake, storm, flood, fire and te reo Māori content. Sample questions ask for a claim document summary, policy dates, estimate totals, the reason in a decision letter and items that need human review.

What is still being confirmed

Early-access packs are built from public form and agency guidance; some details are still being checked and may change. They have not been validated on production customer documents, and forms and fields will be confirmed with early-access customers. Reviewers compare documents using the extracted data and search; the pack does not check a file for completeness or compare documents automatically. Where your forms are not covered, your team can define additional schemas.

Where people stay in the loop

Each extracted field has a model-reported confidence score (not calibrated). When you turn on Human in the Loop for an upload, processing pauses at the steps you choose so a person can check the source document and correct the data before it continues. Documents that match no schema are flagged. The pack prepares document data for your claims staff; it does not decide claims, cover or liability. Key actions are written to an audit log.

Questions we hear

Is there a New Zealand general insurance pack?
Yes, in early access. It ships document types, starter schemas, cross-document indexes, sample questions and smart folders for claim files. It has not been validated on production customer documents.
Does it decide claims or cover?
No. It reads and organises claim documents. Cover, liability and settlement decisions stay with your claims staff.
Does it read te reo Māori?
Not validated. The language field takes EN or MI and the extraction instructions ask the model to keep macrons as printed, but macrons and te reo text have not been tested on real documents, so check them in review.
What does early access mean?
We are opening New Zealand gradually. Join the waitlist and we will contact you about fit, scope and timing. Features and availability may change. Early access: not yet validated on New Zealand documents with customers.
Where does AI processing run?
Data location can be agreed in an Order Form on Private and Enterprise plans; where AI processing runs is disclosed before you sign. Document text is processed by an AI service.
