Cancellation and Refund Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 7 October 2026 · SKIFIN IT SERVICES LLP

1. In short

  • You can cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for, and you keep access until then.
  • We do not refund part-months, unused pages, or annual plans.
  • We do refund duplicate or wrong charges, a plan you paid for but we did not provide, and the case described in section 5 where you terminate over a change of subprocessor.
  • Approved refunds are sent back to the original payment method within 7 business days.

2. Free trials and the demo

Free trials and the demo environment are not charged, so there is nothing to refund. A trial ends by itself after 14 days or 100 pages; you are never charged automatically at the end of a trial.

3. How to cancel

  • In the portal: an administrator opens Usage & Billing and chooses to change or cancel the plan, which sends us a request.
  • By email: write to contact@skifin.com from the administrator's email address and name the organisation.

We acknowledge a cancellation request within one business day. Monthly plans end at the end of the current monthly period and we do not bill you again. Annual plans end at the end of the annual term and, if you switch off auto-renewal or cancel before renewal, are not renewed. Overage already incurred in the period remains payable. After a plan ends you have 30 days to export your data; after that it is deleted, as set out in the Terms of Service.

4. What we do not refund

  • Part of a month or term that has started, including when you cancel or downgrade part-way through.
  • Included pages you did not use. Pages do not roll over.
  • Annual plans, once the term has begun, except as set out in section 5.
  • Usage and overage charges for pages already processed.
  • Fees you paid for a plan that was delivered as described, where you later changed your mind.
  • Bank, card or currency-conversion charges applied by your own bank or card issuer.

5. What we do refund

  • Duplicate or erroneous charge: you were charged twice for the same invoice, or an amount that does not match your plan or invoice. We refund the extra amount in full.
  • Plan not provided: you paid, and we did not make the plan available, and we could not do so within 7 days of your request to fix it. We refund what you paid for the plan that was not provided.
  • Objection to a new subprocessor: if you object to a change of subprocessor on reasonable data-protection grounds, we cannot resolve it, and you terminate the affected service as the Data Processing Agreement allows, we refund the prepaid fees for the remaining term on a pro-rata basis.
  • Where the law requires: anything we must refund under applicable consumer or tax law.

Service level credits (for customers whose Order Form includes the SLA) are applied against future invoices. They are not paid out in cash.

6. How to ask for a refund

Email contact@skifin.com within 30 days of the charge, from your administrator or billing email address. Include the invoice number (for example DQ-2026-0001), the payment reference from your receipt, and what went wrong. We will review the request and reply within 5 business days.

7. How and when refunds are paid

  • An approved refund is returned to the original payment method (card, UPI, net banking or the account you paid from), through our payment gateway Razorpay, within 7 business days of approval.
  • After that your bank or card issuer decides when the credit appears. This typically takes a further 5 to 7 business days.
  • Refunds are made in the currency you paid in. We refund the amount we received; exchange-rate differences applied by your bank are outside our control.
  • For a refund of an invoice we issue a credit note, as Indian GST law requires, and email it to you.

8. Disputes and chargebacks

If you do not recognise a charge, please contact us first at contact@skifin.com; we can usually fix it faster than your bank can. If you raise a chargeback with your bank, we will give the bank the invoice, receipt and account records for the payment.
