Motor claim processing

Read motor claim packets, including the FIR, survey report and repair estimate, into one structured record for the claims handler.

Documents in

  • Motor claim forms
  • Motor policies
  • FIRs
  • Motor survey reports
  • Repair estimates
  • Premium receipts

How it runs

  1. Intake

The claim packet is uploaded or sent via API and tracked as a processing job.

  2. Text extraction and OCR

Text is extracted from each file, with OCR for scanned FIR copies, photographs of forms and sparse pages.

  3. Classification and schema matching

Documents in the packet are classified and matched to schemas in the India general insurance pack. No-match documents are flagged.

  4. Field extraction

Policy, vehicle, incident, assessed loss and estimate fields are extracted, each with a confidence value.

  5. Human review

Uncertain fields and unmatched documents pause for a claims handler to correct and approve.

  6. Summary and output

A summary is generated and structured results are delivered via API and webhooks.

What you get

  • Single structured motor claim record assembled from several documents
  • FIR, survey and estimate details available side by side for the handler
  • Per-field confidence with reviewer-confirmed corrections
  • Searchable claim file

Where review fits

Handwritten or low-quality scans are the usual source of uncertain fields. These pause in the review queue where a person edits the value and approves, and the pipeline resumes from that point.

Integration points

Completed records are delivered via API and webhooks. The India general insurance pack provides starting schemas for motor policies, claims, FIRs and survey reports, and schemas can be adjusted to match an insurer’s own forms.
