Healthcare

Extract and review clinical documents such as discharge summaries, lab and radiology reports, with a dedicated pack for India and the general pack elsewhere.

Where the time goes

  • Clinical documents vary widely in layout, language and quality
  • Discharge summaries and reports are long, and key details are hard to find
  • Records contain protected health information that must be handled with care
  • Staff re-enter the same details into hospital, billing or insurer systems

How it works in practice

Droqify classifies each incoming clinical document, extracts the fields defined in a schema, and attaches a confidence score to each value. For discharge summaries this typically means patient identifiers, admission and discharge dates, diagnoses, procedures and medications. Validation rules flag missing or inconsistent values.

Pack coverage

The India healthcare pack covers discharge summaries, OPD notes, prescriptions, lab reports, radiology reports, operative reports, referrals and death certificates. Outside India there is no dedicated healthcare pack. Medical records and bills fall under the general pack, which gives a reasonable starting point, and schemas for other document types can be defined by your team.

Where people stay in the loop

Documents that are unclear, low-confidence or unmatched are held in a review queue. A reviewer sees the source page beside the extracted fields, corrects what is wrong and approves. Reviews and changes are logged for audit.

Search and handling of sensitive data

Processed records can be searched and asked questions in chat, with answers linked back to the source document. Droqify applies PHI masking to logs, supports role-based access, and keeps tenants isolated. It can run as SaaS, single-tenant in your own Azure subscription, or as a managed service.

Questions we hear

Is there a healthcare pack for my country?
A dedicated healthcare pack exists for India only. In other regions, medical records and bills are handled by the general pack, and you can define your own schemas for other clinical document types.
Does Droqify support HIPAA-regulated work?
The platform supports HIPAA-regulated workloads under a signed BAA on eligible plans. It does not by itself make a customer compliant. See the security page for current status.
How is PHI protected?
Logs apply PHI masking, access is controlled by roles, activity is written to an audit log, and each tenant's data is isolated.
Can clinicians or coders review extracted data?
Yes. Documents below your confidence threshold go to a human review queue where fields can be corrected before the result is used.
